Hello,

a bit about me:

Hello! I'm Ashlee Buhler, a graduate from Eastern Michigan University and a journalist based in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

From a young age, I’ve been passionate about storytelling—whether through writing or videography. My journey began at 15 when I combined my love for gymnastics with my enthusiasm for storytelling by starting my own gymnastics blog. What began as a personal project to refine my writing and video skills soon blossomed into a widely-read blog with millions of views and a social media following exceeding 12,000. This early experience introduced me to interviewing Olympians, writing in-depth profiles, and editing video features.

As I entered college, I broadened my horizons and began writing for various newspapers, covering breaking news and local events.

Since 2017, my work has been featured in The Fowlerville News and Views, The Lookout, The Eastern Echo, International Gymnast Magazine, Inside Gymnastics Magazine, and on the NBC Olympics website. I've held two editorial positions and received several awards for my contributions.

In 2019, some of my footage was included in the HBO documentary At The Heart of Gold, which revealed the truth behind the Larry Nassar scandal.

In 2020, I ventured into podcasting by launching my own show, All Things Gymnastics, and became a producer for the Eastern Echo Podcast. I believe podcasts are an excellent medium for conversations, sharing news, and telling diverse stories in our increasingly digital world.

Thank you for visiting my site and getting to know me!
